Do It Yourself Backup on IX Web Hosting

Although IX Web Hosting does their own back ups, you can of course still save your files and MYSQL Database to your own hard drive if you wish. This simple steps to doing your own back up with IX Web Hosting (this will work with any other web host) are as follows:

1. Log in to your control panel and click on phpmyadmin.
2. After another window opens up in phpmyadmin, click on”export” and select the database you wish to backup, saving it as a file.
3. Push ‘go’ button. PhpMyAdmin will script the chosen MYSQL database
4. Save tis data file to your hard drive for safe keeping in case you need it in the future.
