I have been using IX Web Hosting for the past nine months now, and have three IX-Web Hosting webistes (with different ip addresses) on one account. Throughout these nine months I have had over 99.9% uptime on all of my stes . In fact, the only time I expereinced any down time with IX WebHosting was when (in April) IX Web Hosting warned us there would be several hours of downtime as they upgraded their servers. That IX Web Hosting downdown lasted less than an hour and the servers are now faster than ever.

Overall, I have been extremely pleased with IX Web Hosting, and it’s not just because of the great uptime, but because of the price, friendly and knowledgeable tech support and features. In all honesty, I was surprised by how good IX Web Hosting has been because some of the IxWeb Hosting reviews have been less than favorablle. I have been using IX Web Hosting for 3 weeks now and am quite satisfied with it. Recently, I really messed up one of my WordPress blogs and needed to backup my my files and database at IXWebHosting. To my surprise I did not have to go through the hassle of doing a backup myself through since IX Web Hosting staff explained to me that they do daily backups of my files on the Ix web Hosting server. In fact Ix Web Hosting performs back ups on all their shared web hosting plans. This was a great relief as I had my site restored to exactly how it was before I goofed. Thank you IX Web Hosting! If you did not know, unlike IX web hosting, there are a number of web hosting companies that do not do this.

Do It Yourself Backup on IX Web Hosting

Although IX Web Hosting does their own back ups, you can of course still save your files and MYSQL Database to your own hard drive if you wish. This simple steps to doing your own back up with IX Web Hosting (this will work with any other web host) are as follows:

Log in to your control panel and click on phpmyadmin.
After another window opens up in phpmyadmin, click on”export” and select the database you wish to backup, saving it as a file.
Push ‘go’ button. PhpMyAdmin will script the chosen MYSQL database
Save tis data file to your hard drive for safe keeping in case you need it in the future.
