Ipower Domain DNS Servers

I say this for the benefit of many: If you switch your site to IPower webhosting you DO NOT actually have to transfer your domain as well, but may keep the registrar where it actiually is. So say you sign up for Ipower web hosting because you like their affordable web hosting features, but your domain registrar is actually BlueHost? All you have to do is go into your current control panel under Domain Manger, and switch the DNS Nameservers to:

Primary Ipower DNS nameserver: ns1.ipower.com
Secondary Ipower DNS nameserver: ns2.ipower.com

After this it will only take a few hours for the web to propagate your site as hosted at Ipower.

Are there any benefits to having to having your domain registered in one place but hosted at another. Although not true with Ipower, if you ever get upset with some web host and want to switch servers, they may not release your domain if you do so. Doing it the way we described above gives you, the domain owne,r more power.
