LunarPages shared webhosting can be used to create a forum. Although there are a few different well known scripts available, today we will focus only on VBulletin because it is more powerful and more user friendly.

Setting up Your VBulletin Forum

The first thing that you need to do in order to set up the VBulletin forum on your LunarPages website is to upload the VBulletin files to the server using a File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Next you have to setup VBulletin from the VBulletin admin control panel. Your Forum should now be working!

After You Setup Your VBulletin Forum

Now that your forum is working smoothly, there are a few other things to consider. VBulletin forum takes up a lot of processing power from the server. Because of this, the server will not be able to support more than 30 forum members logged in at the same time. If your website starts to bring in more traffic onto the forum than the server can handle, then it is probably time to upgrade to VPS, or dedicated webhosting. Until then, your forum will do fine with shared LunarPages webhosting.
